Friends of the Gaiety – Volunteers

Thank you for considering being a volunteer for the Gaiety Theatre.

The success of the theatre is dependent on the support of our community and having a team of volunteers to assist with movie sessions and keeping our operating costs at a manageable level.

We are hoping to have a list of volunteers who we can call on to help out from time to time.

We have detailed below the tasks involved, and the rewards for helping out!

The Tasks:

• Arrive at the Gaiety Theatre 30 minutes before the movie starts
• Assist in the box office with food and beverage sales, popcorn making etc.
• Check bathrooms and toilets are clean prior to movie starting
• Clean toilets, bathrooms and vacuum/mop the theatre after each movie
• Follow cleaning, safety and emergency procedures advised in the induction phase
• Follow end-of-the-day procedures as per introduction
• A smile on your dial and a happy disposition at all times!

The Rewards:

• Watch the movie you work for once the theatre-goers are all seated
• Enjoy free popcorn!
• Be part of the success of Wairoa’s Gaiety theatre
